We are excited to have your child/ren be a part of our Larchwood Awana Club sponsored by Grandview Church.  The name Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.  It is taken from Scripture: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15).  Awana is an interdenominational program that is Bible centered.  Our goal is to reach boys & girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ & train them to serve Him.  It is open to kids 3 years old through 6^th grade and consists of several clubs organized by age & school grade.

Parents, please help your child/ren in the following ways:

•  Assist them in studying handbook section(s).  Clubbers should arrive at club ready to recite section(s).
• Congratulate them upon their achievements.
• Let the leaders know of any special needs or concerns your child may have.

You are welcome to visit club at any time.  Please don’t hesitate to contact any of your child’s leaders or commander with any questions or concerns.

We encourage you to reach out to Hailey if you are interested in volunteering. Even if it is not every Wednesday night, we can work with your availability. The success of our club is dependent on volunteers, thank you for considering!

If we have inclement weather (snow/ice), we will cancel club if West Lyon calls off school.  However, if the weather gets bad during the afternoon, we will try to make that decision by 5 pm.  We plan to utilize technology to get the word out (Remind App & Facebook – Larchwood Awana).
